Only the Best Science Fiction and Fantasy review

Bryce Lee over at Only the Best Science Fiction and Fantasy has given THE TROUPE a lovely review.

Bennett not only writes about magic, but his writing itself is imbued with magic and a bit of humor and even a little darkness. To be mentioned in the same breathe as Neil Gaiman would be no stretch of the imagination. The Troupe may just be the best book of 2012.

*The Troupe IS the best book of 2012. This book had a little bit of everything. When I first ordered it, I didn’t know how it would compare to The Company Man or Mr. Shivers, but I was strongly blown away. A book has never moved me in a way that spanned all of my emotions. When I wasn’t laughing or on the edge of my seat, I was tearing up because of it. This book was the best book of 2012, and I may even venture as far as to say that it is the best book I’ve ever read. Just what I usually expect from RJB. Great job! Can’t wait for American Elsewhere and City of Stairs!
